About
Comfort, tranquility and good homely food are what we offer. We welcome both single night and longer stay guests.
Our meals feature superior home cooking using local ingredients wherever possible. We are very happy to accommodate dietary preferences and requirements. Just let us know.
Evening meal and packed lunches need to be booked in advance… but we do not let anyone go hungry!
We have modern comfortable and flexible accommodation with twin and king en-suite rooms and a twin/super king with a private shower room.
We welcome cyclists. The Butt of Lewis is just a couple of miles away and the Hebridean walking route passes our door. There is safe storage for bikes and space to dry wet clothes and boots.
Our house looks across the croft land to Port of Ness harbour and the sea where we often spot dolphins and sometimes whales from the front room. We are surrounded by sweeping beaches, soaring cliffs and great walks and the sky is often full of birds.
Ness is home to many native Gaelic speakers and is proud of its crofting and maritime heritage. Community is at the heart of Ness and visitors are very welcome to explore the culture as well as to enjoy the wonderful and sometimes wild natural environment.
We have an excellent museum featuring local life and holding a huge archive of the people, places and way of life of Ness. There are several archaeological sites to visit.
We have a community-run gym and sports hall with ten pin bowling, soft play and Wild About Ness- an exhibition of the natural world of Ness.
Beside the glorious Eoropie beach is an award-winning play park for children of all ages. This is also a community run facility.
