About

Sometimes mistaken for a hawk in flight; the distinctive call of the cuckoo is still a regular sound here. The wooded garden and surrounding moorland of Loch Eynort is a good area to find this species. It is often mobbed by other small birds, especially meadow pipits and generally found in moorland fringes, often on an exposed perch or branch.
