About

The Emperor Moth is a large moth with a black, pink and orange pattern on its wings, with a distinctive an "eye" on each wing. The caterpillars are black and orange at first, turning green with black rings and yellow and red spots. Heather is their main food plant.

The moths are most frequently seen in April-June on still days.
