About

Flora (1722-1790), a Jacobite heroine, assisted Bonnie Prince Charlie and helped him escape the government army in 1746, after he fled the mainland following the Jacobite defeat at Culloden. She was later arrested and taken to the Tower of London, but was released after the Act of Indemnity was passed in 1747.
