About

The population of Berneray stay in a sprinkling of crofts and cottages, along the east side of the island with most of them around Bays Loch. At the north end of the road through the village, the beautiful sandy beach at Beasdaire can be found.
The west beach faces the open Atlantic and lies approx 1 mile to the west of the village

Photographers Tip

Beasdaire Beach lends itself nicely to photographs in the early part of the day, whilst the West Beach is more suitable for light later in the day. The west beach sand dunes in evening light with the Sound of Harris and Harris hills in the background produce stunning photographic images.
