About

Take the road to the youth hostel at the north-east side of the island and scan from this elevated position. Divers can often be seen quite close inshore feeding in the channel, especially at low or rising tides.
Found throughout the year although commonest October - May. Can be seen in breeding plumage in April and May. Regularly seen catching crabs and flat fish in coastal waters in all months of year

Generally silent.
