About
We are in the village of Fivepenny, one of a number of small villages making up Port of Ness. We are either the final stop, or the starting point for The Hebridean Way (Butt to Barra).
On our site, we offer hard standing & grass pitches, as well as ‘wild’ pitches at the top of the Croft, for smaller vans who can make the climb! We have EHU & water. Waste disposal, toilets & showers (& sauna!) are available at the local sports centre (SporsNis) for a small fee, which is just a 2 minute drive away. You can also hire electric bikes there, ideal for heading out the moor to see the Sheilings!
Dogs are very welcome and can be off lead on the Croft, giving them plenty space to run about!
We are very fortunate to have so many facilities in this area, including: Cross Stores, Swainbost Shop & petrol station, Cross Inn Bar/restaurant (dog friendly), Breakwater Cafe, Wobbly Dog Cafe (dog friendly), Comunn Eachdraidh Museum/cafe/gift shop, Ness FC Social Club, charity shop, launderette, taxi service, honesty boxes etc.
There are 3 beautiful beaches within walking distance of the Croft, and stunning coastal walks where you will spot an abundance of wildlife.
We always offer a very warm welcome & a very relaxed site. Join other guests (& us!) round the communal firepit & enjoy the scent of our peats burning, or borrow our portable pit to have beside your van.
