From the Callanish Stones, the route passes through the west side and then at Barvas, the route turns left along the north west coast of Lewis to the Butt of Lewis lighthouse at the northern tip of Lewis.
Cycle Waypoints
- 1 Follow the route north from Callanish Stones.
- 2 Take a left here to Gearrannan Blackhouse village - a museum, hostel and cafe
- 3 If you want to see a stunning beach, take a left to Dalbeg!
- 4 Turn left here. Welcome Inn Garage and Shop to the right.
- 5 Galson Farm Pit Stop to the left
- 6 Comunn Eachdraidh Nis Museum, Shop and Cafe Pit Stop to the left.
- 7 Cross Stores to the right and Cross Inn Pit Stop to the left
- 8 Turn left here. Ahead on the left is The Decca Pit Stop and Sporsnis Pit Stop.
- 9 Follow the route straight on here.
- 10 You have reached the Butt of Lewis, the end of the Hebridean Way Cycling Route. You have just completed 10 islands and 185 miles. Well done!
