Starting at Bornish and walking over moorland track to South Locheynort. When you reach the road, turn right and walk along to Unisary. Unisary was the location where Bonnie Prince Charlie had his first meeting with Flora MacDonald. At Unisary, come off the road and start to walk over the moorland. Keep to the north side of Seabhal. When you reach Mingarry, walk down the road. At the main road junction, turn right and walk for about half a mile and you will see signs for Flora Macdonalds birthplace. From here walk up the main road to Kildonan Museum, where you can find out a little bit more about the history of the island and stop for a refreshing cuppa in the cafe. Walk up the Main road for a couple of miles until you get to your original start point.
