About
The Bunkhouse is ideally situated, directly on the shores of West Loch Roag, in the village of Carishader. Ideal for families, or groups of friends. It provides a comfortable and cosy retreat for walkers, cyclists, surfers, kayakers, and anyone wishing to explore the stunning scenery and wildlife of the Isle of Lewis.
As well as two resident otters, who can be spotted directly from the bunkhouse, there is an abundance of wildlife to be seen on West Loch Roag, including seals, gannets, red throated divers, terns, golden eagles, sea eagles, and the occasional dolphin.
Otter Bunkhouse offers a cosy hideaway with modern facilities. There is one bedroom with 8 beds, a shower room with toilet, as well as a separate toilet room, and a lounge area with kichenette facilities. The beds have comfortable mattresses, and are in a bunkbed layout, each with an individual light and three point plug.
There is an outside decking area, with stunning views over West Loch Roag. There is also private, direct access to West Loch Roag for kayakers, as well as a drying shed for kayaks, bikes, surfboards, et cetera.
