About

Unique Camping Pod accommodation which is a perfect quirky alternative to traditional camping, self-catering, bed and breakfast, hostelling, and hotels.

Designed (and built by me) specifically for guests travelling and exploring Uist and the Hebrides, we offer simple but functional accommodation. We offer double, twin and 4 bed accommodation with a large well equipped shared kitchen/ living area and 6 bathrooms – with powerful showers. Superfast Wi-Fi is available throughout the site making it ideal for remote working and each pod has a sustainable electricity supply.

All our pods are fully insulated and very cosy. Our double pods have very sturdy turf roofs with porches, camping chairs and fire pits – all have their own distinctive views of nature, the sea, distant mountains, and islands. Perfect for relaxing and watching the world go by. Our twin and four bed pods provide comfortable accommodation for overnight stays and those doing a taster tour of the Hebrides (but you are welcome to stay longer).

The pod site is spacious, dog friendly, offers one-night stays, has free parking, E-bike hire and an EV charger. Large groups requiring sole use of the site are welcome.

We are close to Kallin Harbour where you can take wildlife boat tours and source fresh seafood. Grimsay is a working island home to many attractions – The Salt Tunnels Visitor Centre, a seafood cafe and chandlers, a community café, a boat museum and fascinating wild/birdlife and archaeology.

Guide Prices

Double pods from £40 - £50 per night.
Family/Group Pod (4 single beds) £80 - £100 per night
Overnight Pod (2 single beds) £48 - £60 per night
Note – The lower price refers to stays of 7 nights or more. Stays longer than 2 or one night attract discounts on the higher price.
Single occupancy discounts are available on the double pods.
There is a 2-night minimum stay on double pods.
