The Isle of Harris Distillery can be found in the heart of the Isle of Harris, a the small harbour village, just yards from the waters of East Loch Tarbert.
Known for the award winning island spirits, made by skilled local hands. A team of young distillers perfect their craft, setting to work each day distilling Isle of Harris Gin, The Hearach Single Malt Whisky and The Hearach First Fill Oloroso Cask Matured.
Inside, a burning peat fire is lit daily to welcome visitors and symbolise a deep sense of warmth and hospitality in the tradition of the generations which have gone before us.
The distillery doors are open to all, Monday to Friday from 10AM - 5PM. Hear the stories, sample the spirits, shop for exclusive local wares, enjoy a tipple, and relax among friends fireside.
Go behind the scenes and witness the heart of the Gin and Whisky distilling operation. Join a distillery tour, running daily at 12pm Monday - Thursday at £25 per adult and £20 per guest aged 12-17 years old. With a maximum of 12 spaces available on each tour, advanced booking is always highly recommended.
We hope a long journey by land and sea will soon lead you to see it all for yourself!
