W.I.T.G.A. was established in November 1997 by Green-Badge Guides who were recruited and trained by the national authority, the Scottish Tourist Guides Association. It is the only organisation in the Outer Hebrides affiliated to the S.T.G.A. W.I.T.G.A. continues to recruit, train and assess guides to deliver tours that enhance the experience of the growing number of visitors to the Outer Hebrides.
W.I.T.G.A. demonstrates:
* Management and delivery of multiple tours for UK and International cruise liners, coach tour operators, and individuals.
* Multi-linguialism with a number of guides who offer tours in a range of languages, including Gaelic, German, French, Italian and Dutch, among others.
* Client confidentiality for tour operators, and sensitivity to the needs of client groups.
* Experience in creating walks and tours for groups with specialist interests.
* Support for investigating ancestral links to Hebridean locations.

For over 25 years W.I.T.G.A. has provided a specialist service for all major cruise-ship tour operators visiting Stornoway and Tarbert Ports. Unique tours are also designed for individual clients and coach tours, to ensure visitors get the best possible experience of the Outer Hebrides, from the Butt to Barra.
