About
Two Harbours Guest House offers superior coastal accommodation on the beautiful Isle of Scalpay. Nestled between North and South Harbours, the award winning North Harbour Bistro, or the historic Eilean Glas Lighthouse, are both within walking distance. We are 7 miles from Tarbert, and ideally located for exploring all of Lewis and Harris.
This substantial granite house was rebuilt in the 1880s, and sits on the site of Kenneth Campbell’s original farmstead. It was there in 1746 that Bonnie Prince Charlie stayed for 5 days as he awaited his return to France.
Greeted on arrival with tea and cakes, and with an included full cooked breakfast in the morning, you certainly won't go hungry. White fluffy towels and mains pressure showers will help you relax after a day of exploring. We have 3 bedrooms to choose from, all with ensuite shower room, and all bedrooms are up one flight of stairs.
We have the very large dedicated Two Harbours Twin Room with views to the north and south, and taking in the harbour and hills; there is the North Harbour Double Room - a large room with a superking double bed, triple aspect including views over the harbour and hills, and with an extra large shower room. Our third room is just a little smaller but still of good size, with views over the front garden and ample room for the superking double bed.
Unfortunately we are unable to take pets and children under 14 years. Free Wifi. We can take payment in cash or bank transfer, but we do not have a card reader for credit card payments. (please do not rely on Tarbert cash point). We can now offer stays of one night, but there is a great discount for stays of 2 nights or more.
Let us know if there are specific dietary requirements and we will do our very best to provide what you need. Cyclists welcome – we have a large garage if you wish to store your bikes, and there is plenty of private parking. Outside take a walk around the lovely, mature garden which is surrounded in part by a magnificent stone wall. We look forward to welcoming you at Two Harbours Guest House.
