About
Westside is a modernised croft house originally built in 1928. It has a view of the Harris Hills and the grounds extend to nearly five acres and run down the hill over rough grazing to the sea. Sightings from the land include buzzards, great northern and black throated divers, seals and occasional otters and eagles.
The house has full central heating and there is a peat burning open fire in the lounge. For indoor entertainment there is a TV, DVD player and radio/cd/tape player, and a collection of books. We have finally given in to the modern world and installed Wi-Fi. Moderate broadband use and land line telephone calls are free.
There are two bedrooms each having twin beds with duvets. A cot is available (if requested when booking). The kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with an electric cooker, microwave and fridge freezer.
Bed linen, towels and tea towels are provided but not cot linen nor beach towels.
The house is cleaned between lets and to make it available by 3pm it would be appreciated if visitors could leave by 10am on their last day.
Access to the house is easily reached by car and there is parking for two cars.
