This crossing takes approximately 1 hour 40 minutes, running 7 days a week. There is 1 crossing a day there and back sometimes 2 depending on the day of the week. If you are not such a good sailor, this is a shorter route accross the sea to both Harris and Lewis.
You can travel down from Tarbert through the chain of islands and cross to the mainland using Caledonian Macbrayne Hopscotch tickets, which give you various options.
The ferry terminal is within walking distance to the village, shops, cafe, hotel, post office, bank, Tourist Information and bus stop.
