About

60 Balallan, Westend Cottage is a traditional Hebridean Way cottage on the waters of Loch Erisort, Isle of Lewis. Its owner, a writer, lets the cottage out for self-catering in the Summer months each year.

The cottage is on the main A859 cycling route from Stornoway to Tarbert, and enjoys spectacular views of the lochs and the 'Sleeping Beauty' hills. It has 3 Bedrooms; 1 bath; a full kitchen (with washer) and an open peat/coal fire for cold nights. For reservations, email ghobhainn@gmail.com to place a booking. £700/week, or £400/3-day stay.

The cottage is on the main bus route between the Lewis and Harris ferries, and in easy walking distance to the Kinloch cafe, Museum, land struggle memorials, Loch Erisort, Loch Strannabhat, and fresh shellfish.

There is a free electric car (EV) and bicycle plug-in at the cottage parking.
