With 12 inhabited islands and numerous uninhabited islands in our archipelago, each with their own character and story, you may want to explore them all (or at least most of them!).
Of the uninhabited islands St Kilda, Mingulay, The Monach Isles, The Shiant Isles and the Flannan Isles are probably the most popular, but there are many other gems such as Taransay, Scarp and Pabbay.
Island hopping gives you a real taste of the Outer Hebrides and opportunity to experience each island. Most folk start south and journey north, but heading south is just as awesome!
