If you are looking to see Golden Eagles in Scotland, then an Outer Hebrides birding holiday is a good way to do it.

Our islands host around 90 pairs - making this one of the densest golden eagle populations in Europe and one of the best places for eagle spotting in the UK.

The rugged landscape provides an ideal habitat for Golden Eagles which can be seen almost anywhere through the Archipelago. However, venturing into the hills of North Harris, South Uist, and the Pairc or Uig districts of Lewis will give the best chances of Golden Eagle sightings in the Outer Hebrides. Frequently scanning the skyline with binoculars is the best way to spot eagles in the Western Isles.
