About

Airidh an Dobhrain is a firm favourite for birdwatchers and animal lovers, as well as couples wishing to explore the wild haunting beauty of the Outer Hebrides. It has an isolated location, right on the shores of Loch Kilerivagh. In fact as the tide rises, it comes in on either side of the cottage. Golden and white tail eagles are regularly seen overhead. The only neighbours are the birds, seals and occasional otters.

It is a well equipped cottage with a warm cosy feel, partly due to the modern panel heaters, underfloor heating in the bathroom and even a stunning multifuel stove. The living room and bedroom are bright and airy due to their dual aspect windows. It is a wonderful secluded lochside retreat to return home to after a long day of Hebridean exploration.

Internally the cottage has a bedroom with a 4 poster bed, bathroom with high pressure shower, living room with a fully equipped kitchen (including dishwasher), Harris Tweed sofa and chair, TV, DVD player, Bluetooth speaker, Wifi and a washing machine in the shed behind the cottage.

The mainly gravel garden includes a herb boat to help bring your cooking to life. There is a Rolec 3kW EV charger (Extra charge for electricity used), gates to the small headland beyond the cottage, and the beach to the side.

The cottage is ideally situated approximately equidistant from the two main ferry terminals at Lochmaddy and Lochboisdale. Further ferries can take you north to Harris and Lewis, or South to Barra, making it an ideal base from which to explore the whole island chain.

An ideal retreat for couples or for a memorable honeymoon.

EV charging facilities available - Rolec 3kW charger
