About

Creagan Glas is a charming and comfortable one bedroom stone cottage on Great Bernera, Isle of Lewis.  A peaceful retreat for relaxing after exploring the natural beauty of the numerous Hebridean beaches, miles of rugged coast and moorland.

Great Bernera is a picturesque small island on the Atlantic coast of the Isle of Lewis.  Bernera neighbours the scenic district of Uig, the site of the Callanish Standing Stones, the Dun at Carloway and the Gearrannan blackhouse village .

Originally built by our Great Grandfather in 1878 the croft has remained in our family for over 140 years.  We have recently completely restored the house to retain its traditional character while providing 21st century comfort and convenience.   The cottage is tastefully furnished and equipped to a high standard with central heating and log burning stove, fully fitted kitchen, sunroom and shower room.
