About

Two large, luxury lodges each sleeping two people on the family croft of your host, located on the peaceful, stunning island of Great Bernera in The Outer Hebrides, Scotland. Connected by bridge to Lewis, you will find yourself away from it all yet close to many of the sublime beaches and visitor sites these islands offer. There are endless, stunning walks on Bernera, Lewis and Harris, all close by. Only minutes away, you have award winning Bosta beach with it’s Iron Age house and there is an abundance of wildlife on your doorstep including Sea Eagles, Golden Eagles, seals, otters, deer and dolphins.

In your spacious, high ceilings, stylish lodge you will find a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, dining area with full sea and mountain views, a luxurious bed and a cosy, large sofa. Outside is another dining area with sublime sea and mountain views where you can inhale the peace and fresh Hebridean air. Often both sea eagles and golden eagles circle above the lodges and if you are lucky, you will see dolphins playing at the bottom of the croft. Please take a look at our own wildlife photos taken close to the lodges and in the surrounding area.

For winter breaks, our lodges are fully insulated and toasty warm making them perfect for experiencing the wild and beautiful Hebridean winters.

One of our lodges, called Ebba is pet friendly and will accept a maximum of two medium dogs. Your dogs will find a fully enclosed run for their own use! Elsa lodge is pet free.

Jenny Wilson Art studio & gallery is situated right on your doorstep on the very same croft as The View. When staying in our lodges, you get 20% off all paintings from the art gallery.
