About

Two Harbours Guest House is idyllically located on the beautiful island of Scalpay. Connected to Harris by bridge we are just 10 minutes scenic drive from Tarbert which is 20 minutes drive from the world-famous Harris beaches making it the perfect base to visit the splendour of Harris and Lewis. We are also walking distance from the award winning North Harbour Bistro.

This large Victorian house has been thoughtfully renovated offering guests all their modern comforts while retaining its historic charm. We offer a choice of three spacious luxurious rooms, en-suite shower rooms, ample parking, Wi-fi, tea and coffee making facilities and a full cooked breakfast is included. Set in a large landscaped private garden with spectacular views over its dry stone wall to the North Harbour and beyond to the Harris hills.

Step back in time and share the same timeless views that Bonnie Prince Charlie enjoyed while he awaited safe passage to France. On 30th April 1746 an unexpected royal guest knocked on the farmstead's door seeking shelter. Bonnie Prince Charlie was hungry and exhausted attempting to flee capture from Hanovarian government troops following the defeat of the Jacobites at the battle of Culloden. The farmstead owner (Donald Campbell) famously risked treason and provided him safe refuge in his home for four nights.
