Food with a View

In 2021 we did a social media campaign celebrating our wonderful food and drink, Food with a View. The campaign celebrated and showcased everything that is special about the islands and our wonderful food and drink offer. 

Throughout the summer of 2021, we encouraged visitors to share photographs of food/drink and views they are enjoying while in the islands (this was at a time in the pandemic where we were encouraged to eat outdoors).  To encourage visitors to do this we had a competition prize of a hamper of local produce.

We asked our members to help by 

• promoting their food & drink business
• encouraging visitors to get involved, to win a gourmet hamper
• building traffic on social media, particularly Instagram, with its trend for food and drink “desire” pictures

We also encouraged non food & Drink businesses to join in,  by displaying the poster, and sharing all Outer Hebrides #foodwithaview content on their social media channels.
