The Scottish Government has provided funding to a number of destinations across Scotland to re-connect with visitors, as part of its economic recovery plans and OHT was successful in winning support for a digital campaign.
This campaign is 100% funded by the government and will run through February and into March 2022. The campaign reminds visitors of the sense of wellbeing they get from a visit to the Outer Hebrides and we have partnered with National Geographic and The List to promote the campaign as well as running advertising on various digital channels. The List opens up a younger Scottish audience and National Geographic targets our traditional audience both in the UK and around the world.
The full length video shows how a trip to the Outer Hebrides helps "warm your soul", and shorter social clips on each of the aspects of wellbeing we are focusing on - from engaging with nature to enjoying a sense of space, from re-connecting with each other to the sense of wonder in the landscape and rich culture around you. The videos show the wide range of attractions throughout the Outer Hebrides, both better know ones and hidden gems to portray some of the simple pleasures of a visit here, and to show us the joy of being outside in all weathers
