As one of the most popular growth areas in tourism, Dark Skies promotion has great potential for the Outer Hebrides. The islands are perfectly positioned to benefit from this theme which we hope to develop the offer and how businesses can benefit.
Outer Hebrides Tourism have teamed up with Dark Skies Festival team at An Lanntair and it is hoped that we can re-schedule a postponed business event by Astro photographer Wil Cheung.
Wil Cheung (Twice Brewed Stargazing) has built an incredible observatory attached to an award-winning hotel & brewery (Twice Brewed Inn in Northumberland’s International Dark Sky Park.) He will share his story on his business start-up, collaboration with the hotel, his success and plans for the future as demand in this sector grows. Wil has an international following online, including 100,000 followers on Facebook and his photographs of the Aurora and the International Space Station have gone viral worldwide, featuring in The Times, Newsweek, the Daily Express, and on BBC and ITV.
