About

Most often seen along the northern side of the peninsula although also seen on the southern side and in the freshwater loch. Best to look 2 to 3 hours either side of the high tide although please be careful here during the breeding season (May - August). Arctic Terns nest along the southern shingle bank and this area is best avoided (not good for otters anyway). Eiders and waders nest along the northern side of Rubha Ardvule so please be very careful and avoid alarmed birds.
