About

With the crystal-clear waters of Loch Erisort to the North and the rugged Harris hills to the South, the Ravenspoint Community Hub is a must visit. It is based in the building which housed the former Kershader village school.

You can experience Hebridean hospitality and hear Gaelic spoken at the Ravenspoint Centre which incorporates a Hostel, Shop, Cafe, Fuel station and Museum and lots more.

The centre lies at heart of South Lochs, a vibrant crofting community rich in wildlife, history and a living Gaelic culture. You can get a real feel for the place and the people in the Museum run by the Comunn Eachdraidh (local history association) and delve into the tales and folklore of the past in the Angus MacLeod Archive.

The café is a perfect place to relax to take in the view of Loch Erisort and wildlife spot. Indeed, the cafe is on the Bird of Prey trail and offers great opportunity to spot white-tailed eagles and other birds of prey. This is also an excellent base from which to explore the Pairc peninsula, a stronghold for the white-tailed eagle.
