Just 25 miles from Canna in the Inner Hebrides, Lochboisdale (Loch Baghasdal) is a natural point of entry when sailing to the Outer Hebrides.
The town is the main population centre on the islands and plays an integral part in South Uist seafaring heritage, having grown from the herring fisheries in the 19th century.
