Lying to the north of Lochboisdale, Loch Eynort (Aineort) is a wild and isolated sea loch offers occasional anchorages for those sailing the South Uist coastline.
LOCH EYNORT SAILING
Crews wishing to make use of the occasional wild anchorages in Loch Eynort should note that the outer loch is open to easterly winds.
Anyone sailing into Loch Eynort should note that drying rocks, narrow channels, overfalls and eddies make the upper loch difficult and at times dangerous to enter.
ARINABAN WOODLAND
A wonderful plantation where a mixture of trees have been planted and footpaths created. The woodland is located at the end of the road at North Locheynort and there are picnic tables and seats at stunning points along the walk.
