About

Come and stay in a beautifully restored Blackhouse Village

“Ever wanted to do something a little different … something to remember? Well, we’ve seen more beauty than you could imagine and tasted more adventure than anyone who stays at home saving for a ‘rainy day’ that never comes. This magical place is the start of the rest of our lives. Everyone who tells you your dreams won’t come true, and that you should be sensible with a stable job and no aspirations, bring them here and sit them in front of this ocean. This proves that dreams come true!”

Gearrannan self-catering offers a truly unique experience. Relax in the ambience of former times, but with all the comforts of the present day. Two thatched cottages are family-sized and are rated at four stars, one smaller cottage has one double room and is rated three-star, and one two star bunkhouse can sleep up to sixteen. An ideal base for coastal and moorland walks and within walking distance of archaeological sites such as Carloway Broch and Callanish Standing Stones. We have scenery, history, environment and wildlife on our doorstep.
