About

We would like to invite you to stay with us overlooking beautiful Uig Bay, home of the Lewis Chessmen. We have been looking after visitors from all around the world for over 25 years, who come to enjoy the beauty of Uig on the west coast of Lewis. There are fabulous beaches around every corner and for the more adventurous some of the best hill walking in the Outer Hebrides is on our doorstep. We are surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean offering cliff top routes and views on a clear day as far as the Flannan Isles and St. Kilda. There is an abundance of wildlife too - otters, deer, seals and a huge variety of bird life including Golden and Sea Eagles. In fact, we may be one of the few villages in the UK that can boast of having more resident eagles than pigeons!

Our guest room has its own entrance and has an en-suite bathroom featuring a spa bath. The room a King size bed, tea/coffee machine facilities and a mini-fridge for all those important holiday treats! We provide a continental breakfast featuring yoghurts, fruit, croissant, smoked salmon, fruit juices etc for you to enjoy in your room at your own convenience - hopefully enjoying the outstanding view of the bay from your window. It’s a 100m walk down our croft to reach the bay which is perfect for swimming. Even if the weather is inclement (it is Scotland!) you can always sit, relax and watch the changing of the light and clouds. Two days are never the same! We are also fortunate to have very little light pollution, so you may be lucky and catch the Northern Lights too! We look forward to meeting you.
