About

The Tidaldwelling

This spacious house offers stunning vistas across the bay thanks to the large windows all around.

In the atmospheric kitchen you will find a large wooden dining table where everyone can gather around after an exciting day of exploring the island. The livingroom contains several comfortable chairs and couches ,all set around the woodburning stove and a television. ( 60 inch smart tv)

The Tidal Dwelling has 3 bedrooms ( sleeps 3 x 2 = 6 ) and 2 bathrooms (one with a shower ,the other with shower and bath)

In front of the house is an indoor terras as well as a large outdoor terrace from where a private path leads to the beach. At low tide the exciting tidal walk across wet sands to the uninhabited island of Vallay can be undertaken.!

If you are seeking a truly memorable nature and wildlife break in Scotland ,then the islands of the Outer Hebrides are a perfect destination.

The White Tailed Eagle sours over the rugged coastline and the Golden Eagle is to be seen every day from the house. Red Deer roam over the peaty moorlands and otters swim in the bays and sealochs.

North Uist is a populair destination for birdwatchers and a Mecca for anglers .Around 150 lochs and sealochs are available ,some containing salmon, seatrout ,trout. There are several pools in the bay infront and near  the Tidal Dwelling. The skills of kitesurfers and canooing can be admired or done right infront of the house.

At last we would like to tell you that our first encouter with this island left us breathless .Halfmoon beaches with crystal clear waters and pure white shell sand ,colours you will not believe !

This in combination with a cosy comfortable haven to return to,at the end of the day makes The Tidal Dwelling the place to be.
