About

Can often be heard cackling ina goose-like way as they commute between breeding grounds on the moor and fishing grounds at the coast.
Dives in lochs to catch fish by just sinking from the surface. In winter does same at sea. Often seen in flight as it moves between nest and sea to feed. Looks like a thin goose in flight.

Can be vocal at breeding sites and when seen in flight. An eery far carrying howl.
