About

Sranndabhal Bed & Breakfast, is a newly built house in the coastal village of Strond, decorated to a high standard. Boasting spectacular views over the Sound of Harris looking towards Uist, Berneray and Skye. Located a mere 5 minutes drive from Leverburgh ferry terminal and pier from where the St Kilda boats depart regularly in the summer months.

Within walking distance of the site “The Paisley Sisters” lived and produced the first ever Harris Tweed cloth in 1864.

Also close to many beautiful unspoiled beaches, including Northton’s Temple Park, Scarista, the world famous Luskentyre beach and close by is the picturesque Isle of Harris Golf Club. While visiting why not take the scenic coastal path over the hill from Borrisdale to Rodel, and visit St Clement’s church? Built by Alasdair Crotach MacLeod for the Chiefs of the MacLeods of Harris in the early 1500’s. Centrally located in the  Western Isles, Sranndabhal is the ideal base to visit various sites on Lewis, Harris, Uist and St Kilda.

Accommodation is a choice of two rooms each with a welcome tray with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits. Free Wifi connection is available throughout the property.

Our Otter Room is a superking located on the first floor with a balcony overlooking the Sound of Harris, where you can regularly spot porpoise, sea eagles and otters, or just sit and enjoy the stunning views. The room has a spaciously appointed ensuite shower room with complimentary toiletries.

The Eagle Room is a double with ensuite shower room with complimentary toiletries located on the ground floor with easy access to our large well appointed lounge / Dining Room, where you can sit and relax watching TV or take in the spectacular views of the sun setting over the Sound of Harris.

We have a breakfast menu to suit everyone and is made with local produce, whenever possible, and cater for all dietary requirements.

Unfortunately, we are unable to take pets.
