About

Harris Hideaway is a holiday cottage of dreams, extremely spacious open plan layout for couples who love luxury living and appreciate a slower pace to life. Gaze across the vast seascape to the uninhabited island of Taransay, the beautiful beaches of Luskentyre and Horgabost. Located half way along the road towards Huisinish, and only 7 miles to this stunning beach, surrounded by the vast North Harris Hills behind.

Each room has been designed to face the sea with panoramic views from the curve of floor to ceiling windows. The main space in the centre of the house has a super modern kitchen, dining table with front row seats looking out to the vast ocean and cosy sofas for lazy lounging days watching the eagles glide past, all with those amazing sea views as your wide screen tv.

The tranquil bedroom has a super king bed with cosy linen bedding, which is positioned close to the arc of windows ensuring morning views of the south Harris coastline. Behind you'll find the changing room, complete with yoga mats, dressing table and large walk in wardrobe.

Relax in the sumptuous sauna, make bath time a ritual in the wonderful wave bath with views to the North Atlantic and for the adventurous the outside copper tub is a must as the sun goes down and the stars shine bright.

This underground hideaway has been designed with nature in mind, the building is at one with the landscape built with natural rock walls and turf roof. Escape to a cliff top retreat with dreamy sea views, amazing wildlife and stunning landscapes. A secluded adults only retreat for two, hidden above the Sound of Taransay, stylish and serene interiors, the ultimate place for relaxation.

Nearby shops and places to visit can be found 9 miles away in Tarbert, with the nearest food shop 5 miles away at Ardhasiag petrol station.  Choose fine dining at Flavour in Tarbert or enjoy distillery tour at the Isle of Harris distillery. It’s only 2 miles to the North Harris Eagle Observatory walk (although you can often see them fly past from the lounge). Or why not book day trips adventuring with Wild Harris who are based a couple of miles away.

Travel to the stunning beaches of South Harris takes around 40 minutes and day trips to Isle of Lewis from 45 minutes. Travel time from Stornoway is 1 hour. Travel time to Tarbert is 20 minutes.
